Hi

I’m looking for a replacement supplier for a game-board I currently sell to my customers as part of a LEGO robot game.

My current item (a “SuGO Ring”) is a white 36” diameter circular sign, that is printed with a two-color design (see attached pic).

I typically order these in 100 x quantities.

I currently have these printed on a routed rigid-board (laminated plastic/aluminum) but I’d like to try to cut costs by making them with die-cut coroplast.

So my first need is to simply replace the 36” sign boards with a coroplast alternative.  So I need a quote for this (or I can just use the pricing on your website)

However, In addition to just replacing the signs themselves, I’d like to explore the possibility of using the offcut material for some additional components I could use with my game.

Ideally these sign boards are supported about 2” above the floor on some kind of platform, but if I could utilize the rest of the 48x96 sheet to make these die-cut interlocking strips it would be a huge plus.

So, if possible I’d like to discuss options and pricing for this two-for idea.
Essentially each 48-96 sheet would make two game kits, which would comprise a 36” ring, and 3 or 4 interlocking base strips (like in the attached pic).

Please feel free to reply by email, or we can chat to discuss options.

Thanks
Phil.

Piece of cake. Price for 50 sheets (2 sets per 4'x8' sheet) is $1956 plus $199 ship/freight. You would also have approximately 24x48" per sheet to print and cut other items.

The process is full color.

And if these don't work out, we can die cut sturdier materials.

Let me know if this is what you wanted to hear.

Thanks,

Hi Mike

That sounds great...

What other materials can you die-cut?
Ideally I’m looking for something that is pretty rigid, and can support a certain amount of weight (couple of pounds) on a short (8”) overhang.
I know coroplast is great in one dimension, but not as rigid in the other.  I was considering doubling up two layers with cross bias.

Any chance I can purchase a few random samples showing what a cut edge looks like, and that I can use to test the durability of a solid black printed area on a white background?
Can I give you a call Wednesday some time?

Phil.

3mm PVC - too brittle as it is a foam
10mm coro - would cost about twice as much
aluminum dibond - also expensive

but, we can also print some piece just for the edges with what is left over. I'm thinking same radius, but only 50 flutes thick. We can print two with vertical flutes and two with horizonatl flute.

We've actually made trays from shape cut coroplast.

That would use up the rest of the sheet and maybe cost another $100 for the whole job.

Hi Mike.

Thanks for chatting today.

So you can understand what I’m doing...   here is how the kids use the ring:

Sounds like I’m going to get started with 4 sample rings:
Two from coroplast and two from dibond.
And you are going to laminate one side of each sheet just so I can see how that effects durability and traction.

I’m also going to look at the cut edge and assume that future orders will have the same quality.

Note:  Now that you’ve explained the different materials and what’s possible with the extra material,  I think that I can build a more substantial support base for the coro-plast ring, and not need to worry quite so much about the extra rigidity.
If I wanted to cut slots so pieces can fit together, can your setup cut slots the thickness of the material ?

I’ve attached the artwork file for the ring.

Small correction. We can only laminate full sheets due to registration marks and other factors, so you will need to get two of each laminated and two unlaminated.

Here's pricing
1 sheet each on laminated trilayer aluminum $175
1 sheet each on trilayer aluminum $125
1 sheet each laminated coroplast $115
1 sheet each coroplast $65
ship estimate $75
total $555

For large runs the per piece price will be lower.

Let me know if you want to scale anything back for your test run.

If you do the lamination, you can print your logo on the circle piece. Great PR.

Hi

Yeah, that got expensive real fast Smile

Being a cheap-scape at heart, I’m going to be optimistic and plan that the coroplast version will work with the correct support, so I think I’ll just do a plain un-laminated test sample so I can verify the look and feel.

I’d like to add the support pieces as well, to get them in the sample run so I can tweak them if I need to for the main run.
What do I need to provide you to enable you to cut the desired shape?  Do I add multiple cut outlines to the main artwork, or can I provide you with a separate image for one support, and you just Copy & Paste them?

Phil.
